Abstract
This track is a poem about freedom dreaming. The poem embodies the author’s freedom dream about Black students and educators in schools. Asking what schools would look like if they were built on the dreams of Black communities, the author explores a reimagining of Black educational spaces. By reflecting on the state of Black education today, the author highlights the leftover harms of white supremacy while underscoring the beauty and endless potential of Black identity, particularly when students are allowed to exist as they are. This poetic reflection invites readers to think beyond traditional schooling and dream of a mode of care where communities shepherd in true liberation.
