Abstract
The purpose of this project is to create a road map for the development of an exhibition at the California Academy of Sciences (Cal Academy) that highlights the use of insects as bioindicators and bio-monitors for environmental and climate change. This project includes the creation of a road map for the development of a docent facilitated Multi-User Simulation with Handheld Integration (MUSHI) interactive for the exhibition. The Cal Academy is a 161 year old research institution and museum with the mission to " Explore, Explain, and Sustain Life" . This project addresses the issue that the topic of insects as bio-indicators and bio-monitors has not been fully discussed in the Cal Academy's exhibitions.
