Abstract
This project plan will detail the preparations and research needed to digitize the Treasure Island Museum's collection database. Treasure Island Museum was founded in 1976 as a Naval and Bay Area history museum. It closed when the Treasure Island Navy base closed in 1998. The museum reopened in 2008 and has been growing and professionalizing since. Its mission is to share and explore the past, present and future of Treasure Island and the neighboring Yerba Buena Island. This project plan addresses the need to update the museum's collection database in preparation for digitization, as well as provide a timeline for completion.
