Abstract
The Palestinian community is subject to forced fragmentation and isolation as a result of the Israeli occupation. An estimated 12.1 million Palestinians are currently living outside of Palestine and are part of the Palestinian diaspora. The Palestinian Museum, a project under the Welfare Association (WA), aims to celebrate Palestinian history and culture, as well as work towards uniting the Palestinian community - both in and outside of Palestine - as a Museum without Borders. This capstone project builds on the Palestinian Museum’s vision and develops a plan to establish the first Friends of the Palestinian Museum Chapter in California. Through literature research, an action plan, and Gantt Chart, the project presented in this document includes initial plans to register the Palestinian Museum as a nonprofit, forge partnerships with other museums, and develops a fundraising strategy for the first three-years of operation.
