Abstract
Previous research had identified that routine physical activity improves mental and physical health outcomes. This extensive literature review will focus on Latinx women who engage in routine physical active activities and are able to decrease stress. The literature will mention various stressors that Latinx women encounter in their way of living that prevent them from participating in routine physical activities. Peer-reviewed articles were examined to determine if physical activity buffer stress among Latinx women. Various literature databases used to extract articles from 2013 to 2022. Recommendations to assist the targeted population will use the principles of the Health Belief Model, in order to promote various approaches to enable them to be physically active. The model examines community engagement, social support and culturally-centered intervention programs, as the best approach to better assist the population. Further research is required to prioritize educational preventative care services, in order to promote long-term self-efficient routine physical activities.
