Author Bio
Blythe George is a member of the Yurok Tribe of northern California. Blythe has a BA in Sociology from Dartmouth College and is a final year PhD candidate in the Harvard University Sociology & Social Policy Joint Degree Program. Her work focuses on processes of adversity and resilience in tribal communities, with an emphasis on qualitative methodologies and database creation & management. She is the recipient of two NSF awards, and has been recognized by the Social Science Research Council, the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, and Indigenous Education, Inc. In 2020-2021, she will serve as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at UC Berkeley working with Professor Sandra Smith. blythe.k.george@gmail.com
