Abstract

The University of San Francisco’s (USF) Fall 2020 Davies Forum, Political Animals: Democracy from Athens to America, presents a post-election public round-table discussion with Dr. Angela Davis, one of the most influential figures in the American Black Civil Rights Movement. For decades, Dr. Davis has fought for racial, gender, economic, and social justice around the world. On the day after the U.S. general election, she joins USF to discuss political activism, social justice, and prison reform in the United States. Moderated by Dr. Mary Wardell-Ghirarduzzi.

Faculty: Jessica Blum-Sorensen, Classical Studies, and Nathan Dennis, Art History and Museum Studies.
